The Bristol Liberal Democrats were proud to launch their local election campaign in Westbury-on-Trym on Saturday 6th April for the most important council elections in over a decade. As we move away from the Mayoral system to a Committee-based system, having qualified and experienced councillors who will fight for their communities in City Hall is so important. All of our candidates have signed up for our six missions for Bristol, which focus on creating a healthier city that cares, action not words on the climate crisis, pushing for a children-centered city, fixing our broken public transport, fostering a caring council, and building thriving communities across Bristol. We have put forward a full slate of 70 candidates across the city, so everyone in Bristol can back our long-term vision for a better Bristol. While Labour and the Green party are playing politics over control of City Hall, we are working hard in our communities, continuing our presence as community champions.
