Bristol Hill to receive four new planters
Four planters with large trees will be installed on Bristol Hill by the end of the month, it has been announced.
Questions asked in council about the progress of the long-awaited project by Cllr Jos Clark (Liberal Democrat, Brislington West) revealed the brilliant news.
Cllr Clark and ward colleague Cllr Andrew Varney said “New planters on Bristol Hill have been talked about by the council for several years. After repeatedly chasing up the project, we are delighted to hear that the planters are finally going to be installed.
“The four large trees shall be liquidambars and will be over 4m tall when they are first planted. Installation is due to commence during the week beginning the 24th of March, and we can’t wait to see these wonderful additions to our local area in place.”
The planters will be located on Bristol Hill between the White Hart pub and Kenneth Road on the footpath where it is wide enough. The planting will be carried out by Trees Bristol and will include 10 years of maintenance and watering.
